Practice at home is essential for learning to play any instrument. Parents need to help, encourage, assist, plan, and remind daily. A good routine, regardless of your age, usually works best.
Environment & Listening
A good musical environment is the best help you can give yourself. Listening to a wide variety of classical music fosters love for beautiful sound, intonation, and emotional engagement.
Tuition holds your weekly time slot in my teaching schedule throughout the year. You are required to pay for your reserved time whether or not you attend the lesson. Tuition for private lessons is payable monthly. You will receive an invoice from Neyman Arts on the day of your first lesson in the current month. Payments may be made online, by check, cash, or person-to-person payment via your bank or Zelle.
Missed Lessons and Make-up Lessons
Cancellations or changes made more than 24 hours prior to your class are entitled to a make-up class. Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the class are considered a no-show and are not entitled to a make-up class. Emergencies are considered on a case by case basis. No make-ups are possible for canceled make-up classes.
Inclement Weather & Illness
Unless you hear from me, I will be available to teach on school-declared snow days. If you are unable to come, we can schedule a make-up or have a Skype lesson. Please do not come to your lesson sick. If you have a same-day fever or other ailments, we will schedule a make-up.
